Targeted Technologies

Neosem Technology (Formerly Tanisys/Flexstar Technology), a world-wide leader in Solid State Drive testing, is taking SSD engineering and high volume manufacturing test to a new level in functionality and performance. The F Series SSD test system is specifically designed to meet the challenges of testing high speed protocol drives including: SAS/SATA 6 Gbps, SAS 12 Gbps and PCIe Gen 3.0 with multiple lanes. Enabled by the F series’s scalable architecture, new protocols along with higher speeds will be added as these new requirements emerge. Neosem Technology understands that we need to support our customers proprietary designs and work closely with them to ensure a solution is available for our customers success.

F-60B Production Test System

The F-60B is a high-density system with a small footprint that can be configured for SSD or PCIe devices. The system utilizes Neosem’s robust Andromeda operating software platform with a comprehensive library of standard tests.

The F-60B production test system is designed to be a highly parallel, high performance and scalable test solution supporting low cost of ownership (LCOE) for SSD Products. The F-60B production test system supports a large number of SSD drives to be tested in parallel at their highest speeds. The systems flexibility and scalability allows multiples of sixty-four (64) SSD Drives of any Package/Protocol Type to be tested in parallel. The F-60B production test system use our revolutionary Carrier system to load the system for production test. With the numerous configurations and options available the F-60B is the right choice for applications such as Quality Assurance (QA), low volume ambient production test as well as for engineering lab environments. The F-60 Series is also available with a number of environmental chambers and material handlers to best fit your volume test and throughput needs.

F-60E Environmental SSD Test System

The F-60E SSD or PCIe environmental self-test system is based on the same platform and building blocks as Neosem’s field proven portfolio of full function test systems. It is optimized to run self-test routines from inside the device itself, power only applied, thereby allowing for a tester with greater port density, simplified operation and lower cost. This tester will start and manage the device tests and the environment temperature/humidity, as well as gather and organize test history and test results.

F-8A SSD Engineering Test System

Neosem Technology offers engineering test systems designed for desktop and lab environments. Our engineering systems enable our customer’s to fully develop, debug and qualify test flows for production or to perform as a QA system. The functional hardware in our engineering test system is exactly the same as our production test hardware although with a limited number of sites. This allows test flow development to be generated on an engineering test system and then transferred directly to a production system — with no changes. It also supports our customers requirement to debug production related issues on a much smaller platform. The size of our engineering configurations varies, typically ranging from four to eight DUTs.

The F-8A ambient, SSD   test system has a small footprint and is affordably priced making it easy to provide every engineer with their own testing platform. This system utilizes Neosem’s robust Andromeda operating software platform with a comprehensive library of standard tests.

Andromeda, our proprietary software suite and its large repository of testing scripts enable each customer to run a customized series of tests to guarantee optimum performance of their drives.

Andromeda runs on a Linux ® kernel with a Java ® platform. This platform supports the P25 scripting language, interactive shell, and Java plug-ins or direct executable class files.2016-09-27_153731

The P25 scripting language is easy to use; the built-in pick and place editor allows for customization without the need for previous programming experience. Sophisticated users have the ability to develop specialized tests through Java plug-ins or via C++ using APIs in the Linux layer. An Intel® chip set environment allows users to stay up to date with price/performance and compatibility.

All F Series testers support JEDEC and SNIA Testing.
